Managing calls and call restrictions
Call restrictions let you block or limit certain types of calls from your devices. This helps you manage costs, avoid unexpected charges, and reduce the risk of accidental or unauthorised use
👉 Call restrictions are different from spend controls, but they can be used together for even greater control.

How to manage call restrictions in my.plan
To add or remove restrictions:
- Log in to my.plan
- Open the Controls dropdown in the top navigation menu
- Go to Data, Calls & Texts > Call Controls
- Select a user from the left-hand menu
- Use the switches to turn restrictions on or off for that user
⚠️ Most restrictions apply to outgoing calls. While individual incoming numbers cannot be blocked, you can restrict all incoming calls if necessary.
Blocking premium rate calls
Premium rate services often cost more than standard calls. To avoid unexpected charges, you can block many premium rate categories.
- This block prevents a large number of premium services from being dialled
- It does not cover every premium rate number
Blocking international calls
International calls can quickly add up. If you want to prevent these charges, you can block all outgoing international calls.
- Once activated, international calls are stopped until you remove the restriction
