Malware, or malicious software, is any program or file that is harmful to a computer user. Types of malware can include computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses and spyware.
Activating the Malware Content Data Restriction helps to prevent a service from accessing sites and applications known to have Malware. The list of sites and services is provided by a specialist independent provider and is constantly being revised and updated.
Please note that this block only prevent access to such content when the service is connected to mobile data through the plan.com data service (APN). It will not prevent access if the service is connected to a WiFi network or an alternative data service.
To activate our Malware Restriction, from the dashboard of your my.plan account, go to:
CONTROLS > DATA, CALLS & TEXTS > DATA CONTROLS > MALWARE > [select user] > BLOCK
