Domestic
Stay connected with your remote workforce almost anywhere in the UK. Thanks to insight from mobile data masts and my.plan app tracking, we can help you locate members of your team simply by logging into my.plan. Essential connections are located within a region, Gold connections can be located within a county, and Platinum connections can be located to the nearest cell tower or down to street level if they have the my.plan app with location sharing enabled (see Guide for full details).
Roaming
For businesses without borders, my.plan’s location tracking helps you keep your people safe by knowing where they are, no matter where in the world your business takes them. Stay connected with your remote workforce almost anywhere in the world. Thanks to GPS insight from mobile masts and the my.plan app, we can help you locate members of your team simply by logging into my.plan. Essential and Gold connections can be located within a country, and Platinum connections can be located to a region – or even closer with the my.plan app (see Guide for full details). .
Regional Level
For Essential connections, location information is displayed to regional level. While abroad, location is limited to country level.
County Level
For Gold connections, location information is displayed to county level, with the UK divided into 48 counties such as Berkshire, Surrey, and West Yorkshire. While abroad, location is at country level (see Guide for full details).
Local Level
For Platinum account users, location information is tied to local cell towers. If users have the my.plan app with GPS enabled, location will be displayed at street level. While abroad, location is also based on cell towers and the my.plan app (see Guide for full details).
Users who are not connected to mobile data or those who have not activated location via the my.plan app will either be hidden from the map or display of their location will be restricted to the place where mobile data usage was last recorded (see Guide for full details).
View and hide location*
Detailed location tracking of Gold and Platinum account users can be hidden from view. To activate the restriction, from your my.plan dashboard go to:
CONTROLS > VISIBILITY & ACCESS > DETAILED LOCATION TRACKING > DEVICE CONTROLS/LOCATION VISIBILITY > HIDE
