We don't prevent you from using your personal hotspot when outside the UK but we do advise caution.
Tethering inherently uses more data and if for any reason your HotSpotted data usage reporting is delayed, that may affect our ability to prevent over-use in real time, leading to additional costs for you.
Mobile Data will not be available when roaming UNLESS your phone's mobile data settings are correctly configured.
To configure your phone's data settings, visit https://www.plan.com/apn-settings
Select your operating system from the options on page 1, before following the step by step guide, fully.
Once your mobile data settings are correctly configured, the ability to tether / hotspot mobile data can be activated through from your my.plan dashboard.
Go to:
CONTROLS > DATA, CALLS & TEXTS > PERSONAL HOTSPOT > DATA CONTROL/MOBILE HOTSPOT > [select user] > ALLOW
