When your data usage varies from month to month, you need a tariff with the flexibility to keep you connected and updated. pro.plan Switch reacts to your monthly usage, automatically upgrading you to the best tariff
You’ll agree to a fixed, monthly line rental, which includes 1GB of data as standard. If you remain within that allowance during the calendar monthly billing cycle, that’s all you’ll be charged.
However, if your data usage transitions beyond 1Gb, into the next data band, your tariff will automatically upgrade, and you’ll be notified by text. In this case, at the end of the month you’ll be charged the pre-agreed monthly line rental plus the accumulated upgrade charge.
Your pro.plan Switch tariff resets at the start of each month to the fixed, monthly line rental with 1GB of data.
100Gb is the maximum, calendar monthly allowance and data usage exceeding 100GB in a month is charged at our standard Out of Bundle rate (currently 4p/MB).
Please be aware that you can't set a Spending Control to prevent the automatic upgrade at a specific point within the range of data options (e.g. @ 50GB). You won't be barred unless data usage exceeds 100GB, at which point any Spending Control in place will trigger.
To set a Spend Control¹, through your my.plan dashboard, go to:
CONTROLS > SPEND CONTROLS > DATA LIMITS > UK/EU DATA> [select user] > SET UP
Alternatively, set an Ofcom Total Spend Cap². Go to:
CONTROLS > SPEND CONTROLS > OFCOM TOTAL SPEND CAP > [select user] > SET UP
