Firstly, some friendly advice about hotspot usage........
We recommend you think twice before using your mobile phone as a personal HotSpot as doing so will eat into your mobile data more quickly than 'standard' data usage.
Also, unless your phone's mobile data settings are correctly configured, hot spotted data usage reporting can be delayed, which means our ability to react to your that usage could also be delayed.
Why does that matter?
Well, if you were to exceed your inclusive mobile data allowance during a HotSpotted session, and have a spending cap in place, we may not be able to trigger that cap in time to prevent additional costs and you would be liable for those costs.
Accordingly, we ask for your consent and understanding of the implications, before we allow HotSpot activity to be enabled for you.
A word about roaming and HotSpotting.....
Ofcom regulations state that providers must cap your roaming mobile data usage at €50 over and above any bundled mobile data allowance, if any. However, as above, if your HotSpotted data usage reporting is delayed, we may be able to react in real time and additional costs (at higher, roaming rates) may be incurred.
Taking all that into consideration, if you wish to proceed, you can activate the HotSpot facility from your my.plan account dashboard.
