Our Spend Controls help to limit additional charges by setting a cap on the amount of usage, over an above your inclusive tariff allowances, that can be enjoyed by each user on the account.
my.plan offers several Spend Controls* that can be tailored to each user's needs:
- Individual data, calls and text controls
- At home or abroad
- 50%, 80% and 100% usage notifications
- Captive pages to help you stay connected
To configure** Spend Controls, from the dashboard of your my.plan account, go to:
Go to: CONTROLS > SPEND CONTROLS > DATA/CALLS/TEXTS > [select user] > SET UP
All customers who either joined plan.com on or after 1st October 2018, or renewed on or after that date, can set an ‘Ofcom Total Spend Limit’.
This allows for a spending limit to be set that will trigger a service restriction once reached, no matter how reached.
For example, if a £10 limit is set and reached, whether the extra costs were incurred by data use alone or a combination of data, calls and texts use, the service will be restricted.
To set an ‘Ofcom’ Spending Limit, go to:
CONTROLS > SPEND CONTROLS > OFCOM TOTAL SPEND CAP > [select user] > SET UP
