Our Spend Controls help to limit additional charges by setting a cap on the amount of usage, over an above your inclusive tariff allowances, that can be enjoyed by each user on the account.
my.plan offers several Spend Controls* that can be tailored to each user's needs:
- Individual data, calls and text controls
- At home or abroad
- 50%, 80% and 100% usage notifications
- Captive pages to help you stay connected
To configure** Spend Controls, from the dashboard of your my.plan account, go to:
Go to: CONTROLS > SPEND ALERTS > DATA/CALLS/TEXTS > [select user] > SET UP
All customers who either joined plan.com on or after 1st October 2018, or renewed on or after that date, can set an ‘Ofcom Spending Limit’.
This allows for a spending limit to be set, that will trigger a service restriction once reached, no matter how reached.
For example, if a £10 limit is set and reached, whether the extra costs were incurred by data use alone or a combination of data, calls and texts use, the service will be restricted.
To set an ‘Ofcom’ Spending Limit, go to:
CONTROLS > SPEND ALERTS > OFCOM TOTAL SPEND CAP > [select user] > SET UP
