We try our best not to use telecoms industry terminology, but sometimes it makes sense.
Replace 'out of bundle' with 'outside of your inclusive allowances'. We think you'll agree, 'out of bundle' rolls more easily off the tongue!
So, your 'bundle' is the package of minutes, texts and data you are allocated, per calendar month.
You are likely to enjoy both unlimited calls and texts to standard rate numbers and an allowance of, for example, 2Gb of mobile data, per calendar month.
If more than 2Gb of mobile data is used in a calendar month or calls are made to non-standard numbers, charges will be incurred for usage outside what was agreed. That usage is ‘out of bundle’ usage.
If you exceed your inclusive allowances, or access services not included, you will be charged at our standard rates, as per our Terms and Conditions. Full details can be found on our website, here: plan.com/pricing
Gold & Platinum account users can set spending controls through their my.plan access.
Go to:
CONTROLS > SPEND CONTROLS> DATA LIMITS/CALLS LIMITS/TEXT LIMITS > [select option] > [select user] > SET UP
Ofcom Total Spend Cap
Regardless of account level, all customers who either joined plan.com on or after 1st October 2018, or renewed from that date, can set a Spending Cap, commonly referred to as the ‘Ofcom Spending Cap’.
This option allows for a limit to be set, that will trigger a service restriction once reached, no matter what type of usage triggered the usage.
For example, if a £10 limit is set and reached, whether the extra costs were incurred by data use alone or a combination of data, calls and texts use, the service will be restricted.
To set an ‘Ofcom’ Spending Limit, go to:
CONTROLS > SPEND CONTROLS> OFCOM TOTAL SPEND CAP > [select user] > SET UP
